Pointwise agglomeration in continuous racetrack model

چکیده
Using analytical methods they devised, the authors intend to study economic aspects of racetrack economy described as a continuous-space version new geography model. The main mathematical conclusions are summarized follows: 1) Workers and firms agglomerate only finite number cities, maximum possible emerging cities reduces preference for variety increases or transport cost decreases. 2) further apart located from each other, more stable city configuration is against increasing decreasing cost.

Pointwise Completeness and Pointwise Degeneracy of Positive Fractional Descriptor Continuous-Time Linear Systems with Regular Pencils
Descriptor (singular) linear systems have been considered in many papers and books (Bru et al., 2003; 2002; Choundhury, 1972; Campbell et al., 1976; Dai, 1989; Guang-Ren Duan, 2010; Kaczorek, 2013; 2011a; 2014b; 2004; 1992; 2014c; 2011c; 2011d; 2011e; Virnik, 2008). The eigenvalue and invariant assignment by state and output feedbacks was investigated by Kaczorek (2004; 2011d), along with minim...
متن کاملGroup-valued Continuous Functions with the Topology of Pointwise Convergence
Let G be a topological group with the identity element e. Given a space X, we denote by Cp(X,G) the group of all continuous functions from X to G endowed with the topology of pointwise convergence, and we say that X is: (a) G-regular if, for each closed set F ⊆ X and every point x ∈ X \ F , there exist f ∈ Cp(X,G) and g ∈ G \ {e} such that f(x) = g and f(F ) ⊆ {e}; (b) G-regular provided that t...
متن کاملModel agglomeration for context-dependent acoustic modeling
This work describes a method for generating back-off models for context-dependent unit modeling. The main characteristic of the approach is that of building generic models by gathering statistics of detailed models, collected during BaumWelch reestimation. The construction of back-off models does not require additional processing of the training data, allowing to quickly build different models ...
متن کاملA Simple, Analytically Solvable, Chamberlinian Agglomeration Model
This paper presents a simple Chamberlinian agglomeration model which, like the canonical core-periphery (CP) model, contains two agglomerative forces. However, in contrast to that model, the present model is analytically solvable. Moreover, the present model exhibits a 'supercritical pitchfork bifurcation' rather than the 'subcritical pitchfork bifurcation' of the CP model. This may be a better...
متن کاملMagnetization dynamics in racetrack memory
Magnetization Dynamics in Racetrack Memory Various devices have been proposed which use magnetic domain walls (DWs) in nano-sized magnetic structures to perform logic operations or store information. In particularin ‘Racetrack memory’ bits of information represented by DWs are shifted in amagnetic wire to be stored. For these memory and logic devices to be successful, greatcontr...
